Egg Freezing

Egg Freezing

In order to effectively slow down women’s biological clocks, egg freezing, also known as human oocyte cryopreservation, involves freezing and storing unfertilized eggs. The eggs are defrosted, fertilized, and implanted in the woman’s uterus when she decides to start a baby.

The frozen eggs may one day be defrosted and used for assisted reproductive techniques like in vitro fertilization (IVF). Egg freezing is often used by women who want to preserve their fertility, such as those undergoing medical treatments that may affect their ability to have children or women who want to delay childbearing for personal or professional reasons.
